Mr. Jukes' Debut album 'God First' out July 14th

‘God First’, out July 14th, is a labour of love by Jack Steadman (Bombay Bicycle Club). The album is essentially a RnB/Soul album in the spirit of Mark Ronson’s ‘Version’ and has a number of great features (Lianne La Havas, Charles Bradley, BJ The Chicago Kid, and many more).

ABOUT MR. JUKES

Mr Jukes is the surprise solo-project of Jack Steadman (Bombay Bicycle Club), whose first track 'Angels/Your Love' (featuring BJ The Chicago Kid) premiered as Mistajam's Hottest Record In The World on Radio 1 and was in the top 15 Global Viral chart on Spotify, with the debut album, 'God First' out on July 14th via Island Records.

Life has a habit of subverting even the best-laid plans. Once a music obsessed teenager, Jack Steadman initially saw himself more as a jazz bassist than the frontman of a world famous, guitar-centred indie band, but – as everyone now knows – his 10 years with Bombay Bicycle Club (encompassing four albums, several planetwide tours and some notable awards) somewhat got in the way. Having taken a couple of years to contemplate his next step, he returns under the name of Mr. Jukes, with a project that both revives his long-standing interest in jazz, soul, funk and sees Steadman take on the roles of artist, composer, producer and sample-hound, as well as the overseer of some very special guest contributions.
