Myth Syzer & Ikaz Boi's new project: Cerebral EP

French producers Myth Syzer and Ikaz Boi are new French scene figureheads, where hip-hop, trap and future bass meet. Individually, they’ve been collaborating with many, from Kaytranada and Derek Wise to Vic Mensa and French rapper Joke. For the first time, they are teaming up on a common EP via Bromance Records to be released on June 17, 2016.

Ensuing a successful collaboration on debut album Brava recorded in their Los Angeles and Paris studios, Red Bull Studios Paris and Brodinski are giving a new direction to their synergic effort: finding and supporting tomorrow’s talents. Following Brodinski’s artistic lead, Myth Syzer and Ikaz Boi’s 4-track project Cerebral kicks off a series that shall include 3 EPs, as they join forces with high standards featurings and cutting instrumentals.

Cerebral’s first track “Nobody” has just been disclosed. Make no mistake about it: the melodic opening quickly gives way to a powerful instrumental, revealing the producers’ raw talent – until the track “Timeless” closing the EP on a calm yet disturbing note. For vocals, they called on Belgium star Hamza, the new face of French-speaking rap scene – his track “La Sauce” from his mixtape H-24 reached more than 800k views on YouTube – for a distant ego-trip on “High”. On “Different Narcotics”, they invited Atlanta-based Wicced, former member of Peewee Longway’s MPA bandcamp and recent collaborator of Hoodrich Pablo Juan and Rich Homie Quan.

When it comes to influences, the first one heavily relies on sizzurp-filled Dirty South, while the other chooses not to choose between electronic music and trap.
