Nigel Lopez Brings Gospel Soca Hits

Trinidad and Tobago-based Gospel soca artist Nigel Lopez brings new hits “Surrender My All” and “Temptation,” both available worldwide from all major digital retailers on August 14, 2015, with pre-order available now, from FOX FUSE. Creating music as a performer and producer under his imprint Sincerity Studios, Lopez has been waving the Gospel soca flag for years and the world is taking notice.

“Surrender My All” was birthed three years ago when Lopez was performing in Trinidad’s International Soca Monarch competition. “I was jumping in the crowd, even though I knew I was trying to change my life to be a better Christian,” reveals Lopez. “The thought came to me that if that was to be my last jump in life, it would be for the Lord, and that’s how the song ‘Surrender My All’ came to life.”

His track “Temptation” sings of the temptation of music and how the type of music you listen to can influence your life. “It is said that one thing that doesn’t need permission to enter your brain is music and being a Christian, what we listen to is how we are influenced,” he discloses. “That was how the song came about in relation to the temptation of music.”

On the forefront of Gospel soca, Lopez has been carving his own niche as Sold Out for Christ Always or S.O.C.A., and these two tracks are perfect examples of his inspirational and groundbreaking journey.
