Olive Black’s musical odyssey is of deeply personal nature. Olive Black’s transformation into an artist began in the crucible of trauma. After enduring an abusive relationship, the Swiss-born Austin, Texas-raised artist embarked on a soul-searching journey. The pivotal moment came when she relocated to Switzerland following a breakup, alone and surrounded by pain in a foreign environment. It was there, in her newfound solitude, that Olive began writing and recording music. What started as a therapeutic escape from her demons quickly evolved into a means of processing the trauma she had endured. It was time to tell her own story, shaped by a tumultuous past marked by police brutality, racism, and prejudice in the United States.
