Padre Guilherme to play his first-ever show in the Netherlands at HEMKADE on 30 January 2027

HEMKADE is bringing Portuguese DJ and Catholic priest Padre Guilherme to the Netherlands for the first time on 30 January 2027, as part of its HEMKADE Presents series in Zaandam. His work brings together the depth of faith and the energy of techno, exploring the relationship between electronic music and spirituality. His Dutch debut will bring this distinctive artistic approach to HEMKADE.

Following his performance at World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon, before approximately 1.5 million young people, Padre Guilherme began appearing on the line-ups of some of the most prestigious events in global electronic music. His performances have since included Afterlife at Hï Ibiza, Zamna Festival in Chile, Medusa Festival in Spain and Beats For Love in the Czech Republic. A DJ and Catholic priest, his work brings together the pulsating energy of electronic music and the contemplative dimension of music inspired by Christian tradition. He now brings this distinctive musical approach to the Netherlands for the first time.

Joining him is Kevin de Vries, whose melodic approach to techno has established him as a recognised name on the international electronic music scene. The line-up also features Chris Avantgarde, Aaron Hibel, Mees Salomé, Ninsa & Vero, spanning a range of sounds for the January event.

The announcement marks another step in the growth of HEMKADE Presents, the venue’s in-house event series, which builds on its 32-year history in Dutch nightlife while giving the family-run business a more active role in shaping its future. Through its own programming, HEMKADE is bringing international artists and distinct event concepts to Zaandam, expanding its offering beyond its role as an established event destination. The series opens with BRESH on 21 November, followed by ANTS on 12 December and Davyboi on 31 December.
