Razland Released Debut Album Today

Steps" is the debut album by Cairo based artist Ahmed Raslan aka Razland. It was co-produced by Amir Samman from Go! Save The Hostages! and released via the Egyptian net-label, Cyrdaeb.

Razland delivers concise and clean rhythms of a type rarely heard in the region. A mixture of techno, electro and acid in a style similar to Mr. Oizo and Siriusmo yet uniquely flavored by the local electronic music scene which favors short, sharp synthesizers on top of steady and pulsating beats.

"I am driven by the desire to leave a record of my emotions, whether it be happiness, love, regret or anger during these turbulent times." Rasland said.

The album was largely self-produced, with additional production, mixing and mastering at the Cyrdaeb studio, 'Château d'Ambience'.
