Shalisa signs contract with international label Hollywood Records

Dutch SHALISA follows in the footsteps of Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Alex Maxwell with a contract with international label Hollywood Records, part of Disney Music Group.

Singer SHALISA is following in the footsteps of various world-famous musicians by signing a contract with the international label Hollywood Records, part of Disney Music Group. In so doing SHALISA is the first Dutch artist to sign under the label. SHALISA will be working on her first solo album along with different producers. The debut single from this album, “Not Alone”, is to be officially released on 20 October.

“SHALISA is a great musical talent with a fantastic voice. She has already worked on various projects for Disney such as Just Like Me! and Elena van Avalor. We are enormously proud and enthusiastic in offering SHALISA a contract at Hollywood Records and to work with her to raise her career to the next level”, says Gustavo Branger (Vice President Disney Channel Benelux). “It has always been my dream to work on my own songs as a solo artist. I write music from my heart and passion for singing. It feel stills unreal that I may work for an international label with world-famous artists. I cannot wait to introduce my first single to the world”, says SHALISA.

Among other things, SHALISA is known for winning the Junior Songfestival in 2015 and taking part in The Voice Kids, where she was a part of Marco Borsato’s team. Over the years SHALISA has fully focused on writing her own music and her role in the musical Disney Channel series Just Like Me! The breakthrough in her musical career is the start of a completely new adventure full of challenges.

SHALISA (1999) is a Dutch solo artist releasing her debut single “Not Alone” on 20 October. This is her first single released under the Hollywood Records label. Besides her career in the music industry SHALISA can be seen in the Disney Channel television series Just Like Me!, nominated for the Gouden Stuiver Dutch TV award. She also speaks the voice of Elena in the Disney Junior animation series Elena of Avalor.
