Soundboy Records Rocks Reggae Jams on The 5 Star Riddim
Trinidadian production house Soundboy Records rocks its new collection of reggae jams on The 5 Star Riddim, available worldwide from all major digital retailers on March 25, 2016, with pre-order available now, from FOX FUSE. Headed by producer Ray Roopnaraine, Soundboy Records previously birthed the award-winning song “Who Do You Want” by Ziggy Rankin and Blazer Dan on the Zion’s Riddim, and The 5 Star Riddim delivers more fan favorites for its growing catalog.
The 5 Star Riddim delivers five smash tunes and features local Trinidad and Tobagonian reggae stars Khari Kill with “My Things,” Pressy Banton with “Love In Your Eyes,” Darren Kerr with “True Love,” Legacy with “Like a Fountain” and Kabasi with “Let’s Dance.” The tracks are all enjoying airplay on regional radio stations, especially Kabasi’s “Let’s Dance,” which is currently in heavy rotation at home in Trinidad and Tobago.
Roopnaraine infuses old school vibes into the riddim and divulges it was designed for the dance floors, which is sure to please reggae fans in and out of the Caribbean. The project was produced at the Soundboy Records Studio located in Concordia, Tobago, and took roughly three years to complete.
