Summer Breeze confirms five new bands

Five more bands have been added to the Summer Breeze line-up:

C R O W N

Attention, this is not the Swedish band The CROWN, but the (unjustly) more unknown French band C R O W N. A real insider's tip!

Dark, intense, monstrous, nightmarish, menacing, fearsome – that's the effect of the massive walls of riffs the duo throws your way. Doom is probably the best definition of what C R O W N create, yet not in its traditional, epic sense, but with excursions into sludge, industrial and black metal territory, which make this an exciting, unpredictable, surprising and unbelievably captivating ride. Band members P.G. and S.A. throw you into the deepest pits, only to catapult you to the highest peaks the next moment, before the next free fall into an even deeper depth follows. Fascinating, exciting and unique! If the Colmar duo manage to reproduce this gripping atmosphere on stage, then there's a real gourmet treat on the menu for SUMMER BREEZE 2015.

Troldhaugen

More and more people are coming all the way from Australia to SUMMER BREEZE every year. And in 2015, the number of bands from Down Under playing the festival is rising proportionally. After Be'lakor and Ne Obliviscaris, TROLDHAUGEN have now also confirmed their appearance.

Hailing from a town with the funny-sounding name Wollongong, the crazy troupe should appeal to all fans of good-time party metal like a nice cold beer. Fitting in somewhere in between Finntroll, Trollfest and Alestorm, the merry bunch shits on all conventions by giving everything from Russian folk to operatic influences to accordion sounds the metal treatment. Just recently the band left its first mark in Europe as support for Alestorm and Brainstorm, and if the main bands are to be believed, TROLDHAUGEN earned great reactions every night.

John Coffey

As snotty as it gets! As vehement as you can only be at the beginning of your career! As wild as rock'n'roll was in its heyday! That's how you describe JOHN COFFEY!

The Dutch band don't care about nothing and shit on everything, especially on social conventions, and present us a rabid bastard of rock, punk and alternative. Anything they like and makes sense in their eyes is allowed. However, their subjective perception seems to be met with objective admiration, because since the release of their heartwarming debut 'Bright Companions' the level of popularity has been rising steadily for the oranje quintet, who cleverly combine the roughness of Refused with the straightness of The Hives. Screamo, post punk, rock, anything goes, and somehow ends up making sense. Don't miss this destructive performance at SUMMER BREEZE 2015!

The Green River Burial

THE GREEN RIVER BURIAL are an up-and-coming band from our domestic underground that should please all deathcore and hardcore fans among SUMMER BREEZE patrons.

Formed in Frankfurt on the Main in 2008, the band can look back on one demo, a self-released EP, their debut album and various gigs supporting name acts such as Suicide Silence, Terror and Architects, who probably rubbed their eyes in disbelief at the Hessian youngsters' powerful performance. For the band members themselves, by the way, their music is more than “just” deathcore or hardcore. For them, it's more about “a feeling, pure emotion; anything but the norm”. Check them out and see for yourselves! You sure won't regret it.

Sick Of It All

Welcome back, guys! SICK OF IT ALL will come to destroy SUMMER BREEZE, the way only the flagship of New York hardcore can do it!

With a career spanning over a quarter of a century, you could think the band led by Lou Koller might be running out of steam. But you'd be dead wrong! Last year their latest album 'Last Act Of Defiance' confirmed in an impressive fashion that SICK OF IT ALL haven't lost one bit of their uncompromising power. In August you shall feel it for yourselves, when a fist full of hardcore classics and massive gang shouts hits you right in the face. You will witness a K.O. win that the Klitschko brothers couldn't do better. So always keep your guard up! SICK OF IT ALL will hold on to their leading position in the scene for a long time to come, because there are very few bands with that amount of perseverance and integrity.
