The Sore Losers are back!

The Sore Losers announce the March 18th release date for their third album via Excelsior/V2. The first single of the album will hit radio stations mid February. The album will be presented live at AB on April 15th.

This new record marks the first collaboration between The Sore Losers and Nashville based producer Dave Cobb, known for his work with Rival Sons. Overseas Cobb just scored his second nr. 1 in the billboard album 200 and American public radio station NPR proclaimed Cobb ‘Nashville’s own Rick Rubin’.

The recording of the album took place in Berlin’s Vox-Ton studio. Frontman Jan Straetemans: “We knocked it out pretty fast: writing, recording live and mixing. There was just no time for doubt.

And that’s exactly the excitement Cobb’s aiming for. It’s that magic of first and second takes, which makes this record our most dangerous to date, and therefore our best yet.”

The album has a classic, analog sound that really serves the short, energetic songs, which are mainly influenced by classic acts as the MC5, Stooges and Yardbirds.

The new album is the band’s first release since 2014’s Roslyn which secured The Sore Losers two MIA-nominations and playing major festivals like Rock Werchter and Pukkelpop.

The Sore Losers, founded in 2009, is a 4-piece rockband consisting of Jan Straetemans (vocals/guitar), Cedric Maes (guitar), Kevin Maenen (bass) en Alessio Di Turi (drums). The bandname is inspired by the 1997, same titled cultmovie from director John M. McCarthy.
