WECANDANCE goes to Mexico with Habitas
For the very first time, WECANDANCE is going abroad. The Belgian electronic beach festival will make a stop in Mexico together with Habitas in January before celebrating its fifth anniversary in August 2017. We’ll be escaping the Belgian winter to spend three days on the golden beach of Tulum.
Much like WECANDANCE, Habitas aims to create an all-round experience by bringing together several lifestyle elements. This is where the paths of WECANDANCE co-founder Bart Roman and Habitas founder Eduardo Castillo cross. They both want to offer more than music, the former focusing on music, performance, food, conversations, yoga and wellness, the latter on music, food, fashion and art. WECANDANCE will also translate their main pillars for the occasion onto the sunny sands of Tulum, Mexico.
Eduardo Castillo – who has played at WECANDANCE’s Villa Schweppes stage in August 2016 – and his dear friend and co-founder, Kfir Levy, have been been moving the concept around the world from LA to Tulum and Ibiza where he sets up nomadic spaces. His incentive was to bring together a selected community from all around the world that is defined by the experiences they seek and values they share. After travelling around for some years now, Castillo has decided to create some permanent homes around the world. One of the first homes will be built in Tulum and they’ve asked WECANDANCE to celebrate this with them.
