ith core members Nick Gray, Charlie Cawood (Knifeworld, Mediaeval Baebes) and Rob Shipster (MatchMusic) My Tricksy Spirit’s signature sound is based around Nick’s instrument of choice, the Balinese gendér wayang, combined with strings, drums, electronics, and guest vocalists including now full member Roxanne Ainsthorpe. The end result is entrancing and stimulating, incorporating elements of trip-hop, psychedelic rock and dub – there is nothing else quite like this music.
