Carlos Cipa stelt voor Correlations (on 11 pianos)

Sinds zijn debuutopname in 2012 breidde Carlos Cipa zijn artistieke activiteiten als pianist en componist uit met het verzamelen van allerlei instrumenten, en de bouw van een eigen opnamestudio, hetgeen in 2019 resulteerde in het album Retronyms. Met 'Correlations' keert hij terug naar zijn roots, en hij selecteerde voor dit album zorgvuldig 11 piano’s. “I find it fascinating how each piano is different from the next,” zegt de 30-jaar oude Duitser, “Some instruments really open up your creativity. To play on a lot of different ones is the best way to come up with new ideas. It’s this fascination which drives Correlations."
