Lowly deelt single Stretch Under Strain
“You can choose either to hold on to the numbness of sleep or open your eyes and face the realities of your life. Both choices contain a kind of siren-like brutality. The dream is temporary and unreliable, while reality is full of love, but also consequences and responsibility. I think the feeling of being suspended between these two states is something that happens mentally, but it can also feel intensely physical: like ligaments being stretched in opposite directions, as if the body itself is being pulled apart.”
