De party night van het jaar wordt er alleen maar beter op! Zonet kondigden Stephen en David Dewaele aan dat ze de laatste Soulwax show van 2018 nog beter én nog straffer maken. Naast special guest Joe Goddard (Live) nemen ze ook hun platencollectie mee, om de avond op vrijdag 22 december in de Lotto Arena af te sluiten met een swingende 2manydjs live set! Het wordt een meer dan avondvullend programma, want ook DEEWEE label djs Asa Moto / Bolis Pupul / Charlotte Adigéry, Future Sound Of Antwerp en Phillipi & Rodrigo (Fatnotronic Sao Paulo) zijn van de partij volgende maand.
Zo kondigde Soulwax het nieuws aan:
“Hello people of the internet
On 22nd of December we are going to finish our 2017 tour in our home country of Belgium, with our dear friend Joe Goddard supporting us along with DEEWEE label mates Phillipi & Rodrigo (Sao Paulo), Asa Moto, Future Sound Of Antwerp and Bolis Pupul.
Since it’s two days before Christmas we have decided to end the year with a party by also hiring ourselves as DJ’s and bringing our Under The Covers show just for Antwerp. This is not a Soulwaxmas but think of it more like the DEEWEE office party, just with a much bigger attendance.”
De laatste Soulwax show van het jaar zal er staan! Met een speciaal podiumontwerp en zeven muzikanten op het podium: origineel Soulwaxbandlid Stefaan Van Leuven op bas en keyboard, drie drummers - Victoria Smith (Jamie T), Iggor Cavalera (Sepultura, MIXHELL) en Blake Davies (Turbowolf), en Laima Leyton (MIXHELL) op synthesizer en backing vocals.
De show in Lotto Arena is het orgelpunt van een uiterst succesvol jaar voor Soulwax. De langverwachte nieuwe plaat “FROM DEEWEE” werd overal bejubeld, uitverkochte concerten in de AB in april, en tal van fenomenale shows op festivals in binnen- en buitenland (Rock Werchter, Down The Rabbit Hole, Best Kept Secret, Meltdown, Sonar, Electric Picnic, Bestival, Lost Village, Latitude, Melt, Montreux, Benicassim, Bilbao BBK, Rock en Seine, en Alive).
